Slightly Relieved

My goal when I started Knitting In The Wild was going to be a place where I would set up knitting and outdoor weekends, art classes around the area and camping how-tos. I was two weeks into getting sign ups for empowering Women – Get Camping weekend when the COVID hit the fan. And just like that, money was returned and cancellations were made. And I was slightly heartbroken.

And slightly relieved.

Don’t get me wrong, I was so excited to introduce other women to the joys of camping, but with everything happening I was also a glad to get more time to research. And what I found is that maybe it wasn’t the best idea – for me, right now.

So my life went on hold along with so many others, and I waited. Waited for inspiration, for the world to open back up and for lightening to strike and lead me to my destiny.

So dramatic, Sarah.

And here I sit. Still waiting for lightening but finally realizing that Knitting In The Wild, although not “new” is still evolving. There are so many things I want to try. In my “hello, my name is…”page, I talk about how Knitting In The Wild should really be knitting, sewing, art, etc, etc, etc, In The Wild because I do ALL of those things. And I don’t want to stop because a business online class told me that I had to pick one thing and stick to it or I won’t be successful.

So with all due respect to that teacher, I’m going to keep doing all my things anyway. And I hope you stick around to read, watch, try all the things I share.

Welcome (again) to Knitting In The Wild. I am glad you are here.

As always, follow me on Instagram for all the knitty, camping, photo goodness.
